Katia and Salvador Cardenal, brother and sister, were the Duo Guardabarranco from Nicaragua. I saw them perform twice, and loved their earnest lyricism and lovely voices. Salvador died 2 years ago of a very rare blood disease. He spent much of his life advocating for environmental conservation.
