Deliberately citing The Wild One and Rebel Without a Cause, the film featured a great soundtrack, and the first movie appearance of Aidan Quinn, who was charismatic enough to break through the stereotypes, and who would go on to become a star in his second movie, Desperately Seeking Susan with Madonna, a year later.
