This is more or less accurate. My cat does not understand the concept of the weekend, so there is no sleeping in. And my cat's voice is much whinier and more demanding. The claw poke to the face usually happens on my nose, not my ear. My feet are also a target. There is some sitting next to/on my head with purring. He never feigns sleeping, he always jumps down off the bed and looks at me accusingly.

LOL! My cat wakes me up to go out every morning just before dawn. He is an Hispano-Arabic cat and he says:
Al alba venid, habibi,
al alba venid.
He must go out because he is expected at the gates of the city for an important meeting.
A la puerta de To-o-le-do-o-o,
tengo pe-na-a-a, tengo pena-a-a.
Last night while I was cooking dinner he brought in a small rat and set it under the dining table.
It was his contribution. A dinner guest took the rat outside and put it in the garbage while I congratulated the cat on his prowess but explained, "we dress game outdoors, that is why we have the boucherie table on the porch."
He went to bed and slept proudly from 8 PM to 5 AM, when he again woke me up and set out.
This is so funny! When the cat pretends to be sleeping after it whacked the sleeper. LOL.
My daughter thought it was funny as well and played it several times.
That makes three videos here that she loves, the Harry Potter banana phone, the pay for your bad words, and this.
