I am thrilled with this opening number to So You Think You Can Dance from the beginning of the competition round with this season's Top 20.
Choreography by Napoleon and Tabitha (aka NappyTabs), "Puttin' on the Ritz" featuring Herb Alpert on the trumpet (and in a cameo appearance!). I love seeing the continuous take that leads us from the street through the studio to the stage. The dancers this year are loaded with charisma and talent, and it was fun to see some of the regular judges take a turn. My favorite moment, next to seeing Travis in feathers, was spotting the giant poster of Mark Kanemura in the hallway. Ha ha! His dream came true, that's for sure!
