By way of food bloggers Becks and Posh, here is a fun foodie meme. I think of it as a warm-up before attending the State Fair, although if this were fair food, it would be fried and on a stick.
As usual, I will rely on the blog My Pronto Pup for fair news and gorgeous photos of the Fair.
Here’s what you do
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Optional extra: Post a comment here at www.verygoodtaste.co.uk linking to your results.

My God, I've eaten most of them. Also squirrel and guinea pig, but I suppose these are not (yet) foodie. I have not eaten the worm delicacy but apparently everyone who visits the Peruvian jungle, does and loves it. I would not have expected to do so well on a test like this.
Never had squirrel, but there is a place in town where I could have guinea pig. But since we have two now, I think I'll pass. Loren and Blas ate guanaco when they were in the altiplano in Chile doing field work. I think the only think I would refuse to eat is that nasty sea slug they serve in some Chinese restaurants (can't remember the name).
My folks have black pudding at their house. I've never been able to face it.
Other than that- I'm hungry!
This was such silly fun, for some reason. I guess I just like lists of anything.
Have you seen the list of "have-you-read-these-books?" meme that's going around?
I like lists as well. I have not done the book one yet, because I haven't had the time, and I need to learn the html for strike-out.
demondoll, the only thing I absolutely can't contemplate eating at all is papaya--I think I must be allergic, because it nauseates me. Otherwise, I seem to have been born without the squeamish gene.
fresca, re: your other question--I sometimes write a post and save it, and post it later. I think that is why the date doesn't line up.
Oh, right--that makes sense about the date. Thanks for letting me know.
Papaya sea-slug salad: yum! : )
Strike through is easy: <s>text</s>
Thanks for the tip, Leee! I've been too lazy to take my rudimentary html skillz to the next level.
Hurrah!
I never knew how to do strike-through either! Thanks, Leee...
Now we've gotta do the book list...
