Sweet Magnolias

Just watched the first season of Sweet Magnolias on Netflix, a small-town romance based on the novels of prolific romance author Sherryl Woods. Three best friends, their marriages, children, romance and small-town shenanigans. Complete fluff but competently executed with a cliff-hanger season ending. I like the young actors. The principal cast includes a lot of talent; the actress who plays Dana Sue was the star of Drop Dead Diva, a show I enjoyed years ago. I don't know what Lifetime or Hallmarks shows are like, but this had a little bit of a Gilmore Girls vibe.
