This will be the third time I watch Shoplifters (Manbiki Kazoku) by director Kore-Eda Hirokazu. I am so fortunate that I saw several Kore-Eda films as part of a PFA series, and all of them were marvelous. Seeing these films on the movie screen was such a great experience, and watching them again on my laptop I'm aware of how much is lost. The Red Lantern cinema chat group is going to talk about Shoplifters tonight, do I'll watch it again.
I would like to see his most recent film, The Truth, made with a French cast, but it is not available to stream, boo. His next feature will have a Korean cast.
