Japchae

 It takes me an hour to walk from my place to the Albany Twin theater over on Solano. Saturday I walked over to watch Almodóvar's latest, Madres paralelas and today I walked there again to watch Jockey and eat Korean food at Bowl'd. I had been craving japchae. It wasn't quite as good as I remembered.  I should say I could tell the difference between what they served and what I made back when I made it myself. I could tell that they just sauced the noodles at the end and didn't stir-fry and sauce each ingredient separately. The recipe I followed is Maangchi's. Really delicious, a little labor intensive, though.
