A great Saturday matinee at the Metrograph: Pee Wee's Big Adventure (1985). It was apparently the film that launched the careers of its director Tim Burton, composer Danny Elfman, and writer/comedian Phil Hartman. I had seen it with my daughter when she was a kid, and it's a favorite of hers still, so it was fun to see it again. I hardly remembered any of it, except my favorite bit of the whole film:
