Campeones!

Fernando Torres scores the only goal of the game to win over the fearsome German team, for the first Spanish Eurocup win in 44 years, overcoming the syndrome of "underachieving." They played beautifully, standing up to the bigger Germans, demonstrating greater control of the ball and incredible heart. The Germans tried to foul their way back, but to no avail. A fun game, after an exciting tournament. I'm not a huge soccer fan, but I enjoy a well-played game, and this one was great.
And can I say how great it was to be able to watch this match on ABC since I don't get cable?

I didn't get to watch because it was for men (you'd be amazed at the gender divisions here, I'd either forgotten or it has gotten moreso or it is more obvious to me) but *they* were so pleased they sang karaoke to celebrate.
